Q: What type of roofing materials do you use?

We specialize in the installation of architectural asphalt shingles.

Q: How long does replacing a roof typically take?

Roofing installation depends on the size of the roof however it typically for an average-sized roof takes only a day. Bigger roofs can take two to three days.

Q: How can we get an estimate?

Estimates are received via email however if a paper copy is preferred we will gladly supply a paper copy of the estimate.

Q: Do we have to be out of the house when you are replacing the roof?

Home-owners are neither required to be home or not.

Q: Can I remove ice from my roof?

We recommend you do not. teaming away ice is a professional only task. However, we can install de-icing cables to prevent ice dams from forming on your roof.

Q: What are ice dams?

Ice dams are a ridge of ice that forms at the edge of a roof and prevents melting snow from draining off the roof.

Q: How do you calculate the number of shingles I will need for my roof?

We measure your roof by squares. Three bundles of shingles are equal to one square of roofing.

Q: Why is there discoloring in my roof?

Shingle discoloration can come from a multitude of reasons. The most common are algae due to humid and wet conditions as well as the lifespan of your shingles may have passed. When shingles are older they deteriorate over time due to the natural elements of rain, wind, and snow which causes granule loss.

Q: What kind of ventilation can I use on my roof?

We recommend a ridge vent system. Ridge vent allows damp, warm air to escape from the attic, Ridge vent also increases energy efficiency and prolongs the life of the roof.

Q: Should I paint my house before siding takes place?

You can paint it before but we recommend painting it after to save on prep-work for painting.

Q: Will siding crack or fade?

Siding will fade in areas of the home that come in contact with more direct sunlight. While the initial fading is more of a cosmetic issue over time in direct light it can cause cracking and should be addressed by professionals.

Q: How often do I need to replace siding?

We recommend vinyl siding which is long-lasting and durable. Vinyl siding has an average 50-year life-span.
